*The police have identified the suspect who shot dead Michael Gidewon, owner of a popular Atlanta club, almost 3 weeks ago right in front of the club. The Atlanta Police Department has identified the suspect as Jonathan David Soto.

The late Michael Gidewon co-owned Republic Lounge and the suspect was his friend. The club is shutting closing down following the heartbreaking incident.

It is unknown when or if they will reopen.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Soto. Michael Gidewon’s brother, Alex, then announced that he is offering more rewards for the same purpose. Taking to his Instagram, Alex stated that he is placing a “$100,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of my brother’s killer.”

He also railed against Soto on Instagram, asking him why he would stoop so low to commit such a heinous act when they have been friends for over two decades.

Alex posted:

“To My Brothers Killer

Jonathan David, aka “Sodo,”

“How did this happen? Why did this happen? I trusted you. Anybody that know me knows I keep a small circle but I let you in. I trusted you with my family. You’ve been around me for over 20 years. Always took care of you. You would get drunk and you get kicked out of the club but we worked it out because I saw you as family. I would always find ways that you can eat with me. Traveling and partying and celebrating life together just for you to take my little brothers’ life. What the f**k happened Sodo?”

Alex also alleged that the suspect killed his brother in front of the “Republic Lounge” in front of people then “walked home like it was nothing.”

Soto allegedly shot Michael outside the Atlanta nightclub on Saturday morning, February 4. The club is located along Brady Avenue NW in West Midtown. The shooting victim was already dead when the police got to the scene. He was buried on February 14.
