*Season 2 of the hit Peacock series “Bel-Air” arrives to the streamer this week, and we caught up with the series star to dish on what fans can expect!
The drama is a reimagined version of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that ran on NBC in the ’90s. In the second season, storylines will expand from season one, including the fallout of Will discovering the lies surrounding his father Lou and rebuilding the Banks family dynamic and trust.
EUR spoke exclusively with “Bel-Air” star Jabari Banks (Will) about his character’s journey in season two. The actor said he was looking forward to peeling back the layers and exploring a more profound and vulnerable side of Will. For example, banks explained, “After the incident with his father, who is he? And after the trust is broken between him and Uncle Phil, where is he? I think Will discovering his freedom makes Season 2 of Bel-Air even more of a coming-of-age story than season one was. And I think that’s something that we can all relate to.”
Fans will also see Will go through challenges in love. Banks provided insight into the character’s mental state regarding his relationships.

Because of that, he wants to get to know her a little more. And I don’t know if he was looking for love, but it found him.”
