*Supporters of Shanquella Robinson held a march on Saturday calling on Mexican authorities to do more in its investigation into her death.

We reported previously that Robinson was allegedly beaten to death by a “friend” in a Mexican villa on Oct. 28. The “friends” told Robinson’s mother Salamondra Robinson that her daughter’s cause of death was alcohol poisoning. But the victim’s family was told a different story by Mexican authorities and the FBI.

“When the autopsy came back, they said it didn’t have anything to do with the alcohol,” Salamondra shared with Queen City News. “[They] said that she had a broken neck and her spine in the back was cracked. She had been beaten.”

A disturbing video surfaced allegedly showing Daejhanae Jackson attacking Robinson in a bedroom while she is naked. A man who appears to be filming the assault is heard asking Shanquella, “Quella’ can you at least fight back?” Robinson attempts to get away but she is slammed to the floor and punched in the head repeatedly.

In the four months since Robinson was found dead, Mexican authorities have launched a homicide investigation and an arrest warrant has been issued for one of the women involved with the brutal beating.

Several of the victim’s friends, as well as community activists, say the police are dragging their feet so they are sending letters to Mexican authorities and President Biden urging them to do more to expedite the case, WBBC Charlotte reports.

”Hopefully when they get these letters in Mexico and when the President receives these letters it won’t just be a letter. When they see the pink itself they’ll know it’s coming from us and hopefully, it will motivate them to give us some assistance in getting the Cabo  6 arrested,” Civil rights activist John C. Barnett said.

Supporters are also calling for the arrest of everyone who was on the trip with Robinson.

“Going forward the only thing I can do as a father, the way I loved her, the way I raised her and tried to protect her, is that I have to stand in her place while she’s not here and make sure that she gets justice,” said Robinson’s father Bernard Robinson.
