Season seven of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” has wrapped, and fans are now waiting for all the drama of the three-part reunion. But before that drops, EURweb had an exclusive conversation with series star Dr. Wendy Osefo.
Osefo shared her thoughts on her interactions with Mia Thorton this season.
On Mia and the trip to Mexico, Osefo shared that the “sexual energy” was one-sided. “It was Mia bringing that toward me. She admitted it. But all that to say, I was hopeful. In the beginning, I was hopeful because who wants to have drama? But then I watched the show like you guys, and I’m hearing and seeing what Mia did when I wasn’t there. That made me raise an eyebrow. It made me question her authenticity and apology because some of her behavior did not match up. So, it’s still very much up in the air and questionable where we stand.”
There was a lot of conversation surrounding Karen Huger and if she was involved in relationships away from her marriage. Osefo said the speculation was below the belt.
“I think that as a group, we should be a sisterhood at the end of the day. And certain things should not be levied against each other because it’s damaging. It’s hurtful and could hurt people, not just their reputation but their marriage and relationship. I was not at that bachelorette party when much of it was spoken. But man, I thought that was really, really below the belt.”
When asked about Charisse Jackson Jordan doubling down, Osefo added, “if she stands on the comments, I can’t tell her how to feel. I can’t tell where she’s getting this information and whether it is accurate. I can speak from where I stand; I have not heard it. I’m not aware of it. And I believe if you hear something like that, there’s a better way to address it than doing it in such a negative way.”
Osefo said the speculation surrounding Robyn Dixon’s wedding to her ex-husband Juan was fair. However, ultimately she thinks Robyn should have said she wanted to get married on her timetable and left it at that instead of being dishonest. On Robyn holding back details of Juan’s “situation” from the show, Osefo said Dixon was wrong.
She added, “Ok, so don’t talk to me about your man cheating on you because we’re not friends, right? So you don’t talk to Karen about your man cheating on you. But you do say that you and Giselle are best friends. So, why didn’t you speak to your best friend about your man cheating?
On the topic of Ashley Darby confronting Candice Basset’s husband, Chris in the season finale, Osefo thought it was disrespectful. She explained, I thought that crossed the line. You can hear me say to her, ‘did you think that would go well? This is someone that you made false accusations towards. This is his wife’s event because she’s celebrating a monumental milestone, and you decided that you will speak to him now. So, I didn’t think it was the time or the place. It could have been done under different circumstances if you wanted that conversation. So, I just wasn’t a fan of that. But I’m glad that it didn’t take the joy away from why we were there, which was to celebrate Candiace and her new music video.
The first episode of the three-part reunion special airs on February 19.
