*An off-duty Chicago cop warned the man who grabbed her on the street that she would kill him during a struggle last month in Washington Heights. And she made good on that threat when he taunted her, video released Thursday shows.

In the surveillance footage, the off-duty officer is seen struggling with Leevon Smith in the 1300 block of West 90th Street, NBC reports. The Chicago Police Department released the footage on Thursday as part of the investigation into the shooting death of Smith on Jan. 18.

“I’ll Kill you,” the officer is heard saying in the video as she struggles with the man. “You got to kill me then,” Smith tells her.

“Watch this,” she replies and fires a shot. “Oh, sh*t!” Smith yells. “I’m sorry!”

“I told you I’d kill you. I told your dumb ass I’d kill you,” the woman tells him. “I’m sorry!” Smith yells as she fires at him once more.

“You got me! You got me!” Smith tells the officer.

“I told your dumb ass I’d kill you,” she responds before firing a third shot.

“You got me for real,” Smith is heard saying before pleading for his life. “Baby, I’m sorry,” he says. “I’m sorry… I don’t want to die!”

That’s when the officer calls out for someone to call 911.

Smith was transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was reportedly treated for injuries to his abdomen and hand. He died on Jan. 20.

Smith’s family filed a $10 million lawsuit against the city and the officer, citing “excessive and violent physical force.”
