“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” continues the downward spiral of Marvel movies in quality and creativity.
The exception is “Black Panther.”
The exaggerated storyline in “Ant-Man” might have worked if it was carried out with ingenuity and originality.
How many times are movies going to steal from the TV series “Star Trek?? Always mindful of equality, “Star Trek” incorporated a bar scene to show inclusiveness.
Next, we see “Star Wars” incorporate a similar scene in its film. And like “Star Trek,” there were always alternate universes and different realms.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” did, however, get off on the good foot when Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) was arrested for activism in helping the homeless.
She was right on point, however, when she said the rich and trust fund babies who make it impossible for decent, hardworking people to stay in their homes should be behind bars.
When the film found itself in the other realm, it began to lose its footing.
If there is a saving grace to “Ant-Man,” it’s Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. Majors, who has become a hot property in Hollywood in a very short span of time, is all set to be the next big Avengers-level threat villain in the MCU, and will battle The Avengers in 2025’s “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.”
Superhero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.
Kicking off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” has an auspicious beginning. It seeks to tap into Black Panther’s success as moviegoers will see if they stay after the credits roll.
“Ant-Man” also stars David Dastmalchian, Katy O’Brian, William Jackson Harper, and Bill Murray.
