King James is now officially GOATED!
Since LeBron James graced the cover of Sports Illustrated as a teenager, so much was expected from the “kid from Akron.” And he definitely delivered.
It was a historic night in the NBA as LeBron James, 38, achieved a milestone that had stood since 1984. Thanks to a fadeaway jumper with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter of a 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, King James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record and became the all-time leading scorer in the NBA!
Watch below:
LeBron entered the game with 38,352 points and needed 36 more to pass Abdul-Jabbar. The 38-year-old finished with 38 points on 13-of-20 shooting (4-of-6 from three), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
Now, King James’ career total points is 38,390!
