GRAMMY 2023: Offset Responds To Quavo Fight Allegations Before Takeoff Tribute Performance + Offset Reacts to J. Prince’s Remarks Regarding Takeoff’s Passing

It appears Offset is denying reports that suggested he got into a physical altercation with Quavo backstage at the 2023 Grammy Awards over a dispute about Takeoff’s tribute performance. Details about the alleged fight, plus Offset’s response to J. Prince’s remarks regarding Takeoff’s death inside…

Rapper Offset had an eventful weekend filled with clapbacks to set the record straight.

According to TMZ, Migos rappers Quavo and Offset had a backstage brawl over Quavo’s tribute to his late nephew/bandmate Takeoff, who was fatally shot in Houston last year.

Sources said just before Quavo took the stage to perform his song “Without You” during the “In Memoriam” segment, producers asked Offset to join him. When Quavo got word, he allegedly refused to allow Offset to participate in the tribute, and that’s what started the physical altercation.

Offset is calling CAP on the report about a fight.

“What tf look fighting my brother yal n****s is crazy,” he tweeted.

The source told TMZ, “He and Offset got into a physical fight and had to be pulled apart. The GRAMMYs had asked Offset to be a part of the tribute, but Quavo refused to let him take part.” It’s alleged Offset started the altercation.

Entertainment News claims to have iPhone footage of Cardi B yelling backstage. “Both of y’all wrong. This is not right,” she’s heard saying. “No b*****, shut the f**k up cuz you shouldn’t have been talking.”

It’s not clear who she was yelling at or what exactly had set her off at that moment.

It’s reported, Cardi and Offset left the awards show before it ended, likely due to whatever happened before the Takeoff tribute.

After the Grammys…

Offset took to social media to respond to comments J. Prince made about Takeoff’s murder.

Apparently, J. Prince, CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, appeared for a podcast interview on “Million Dollarz Worth of Game” where he called Offset out for not being around his cousin before his untimely death.

“This Offset dude,” he started off saying. “N***as be throwing rocks and hide they hand. And I don’t like those kind of individuals. In reality, the truth of the matter is, n****a you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So for you to be taking these positions that you taking, I got people everywhere so I hear all types of things.”

He was speaking about rumors he has heard about what happened the night Takeoff was shot and killed in Prince’s hometown of Houston. Takeoff and Quavo were hanging out with J. Prince’s son and family.

J. Prince warned that Offset should never put him in any situations where he has to protect himself.

“Don’t ever put me in a position where I have to defend myself,” he said. “That wouldn’t be healthy for you.”

Offset caught wind of J. Prince’s interview and reacted, telling J. Prince he can call his phone to discuss any rumors he has “heard” because he doesn’t play “internet games.”

“Y’all n—as speaking on my real brother… I don’t know what the f**k ya’ll n***as got going on, y’all n***as talkin’ about my real brother,” he said. “How dare one of y’all n***as even speak on me and Take relationship. I don’t know you n***as from a can of paint. Ya’ll n***as don’t know how me and my brother rock. This your fifth interview you done did about my brother n***a. You ain’t think about his mama? You ain’t think about the family, n***a? We ain’t said nothing. Nobody said nothing but you n***as. Who y’all n***as think y’all is? John Gotti? Ain’t nobody going for none of that.”
