Prime Video has premiered the teaser trailer for its upcoming series The Power. Based on the award-winning novel by Naomi Alderman, the series stars the likes of Oscar nominee Toni Collette and Emmy nominees John Leguizamo and Toheeb Jimoh.
“The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will,” the synopsis reads. “The series features a cast of remarkable characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, as the Power evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.”
As from Collette, Leguizamo and Jimoh, The Power also stars Auli’i Cravalho, Josh Charles, Eddie Marsan, Ria Zmitrowicz, Zrinka Cvitešić, Halle Bush and more. Raelle Tucker will serve as the series’ showrunner.
The Power will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, March 31. The season finale will air on May 12.
