*Audible, Inc. has teamed with Higher Ground for the release of Michelle Obama’s new podcast that will debut next month.
Obama’s podcast titled, “Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast” is the first Original project in the multi-year first-look production deal between Audible and the former first lady’s production company.
The weekly podcast drops in March exclusively on Audible for two weeks, then available widely wherever podcasts are found.
According to a news release, the series will feature Obama’s “remarkable” and “inspiring” conversations” with the celebrities who joined her during last year’s six-city U.S. tour for her new bestselling book, “The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.” Obama spoke intimately with Ellen DeGeneres, Tyler Perry, Conan O’Brien, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Hoda Kotb, David Letterman, and more
Per the news release: “Listen as Mrs. Obama and her friends explore themes like building meaningful relationships; issues connected to race, gender, and visibility; the habits and principles they have used to successfully adapt to change and overcome obstacles; and the importance of lighting up for others to reveal the richness and potential around us.”
