*Incapacitated Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin wants to own the phrases “Did We Win” and “Three Is Back.” Following his recent medical emergency, he has applied for two trademarks that will give him ownership over the phrases.
The records of the United States Patent and Trademark Office indicate he filed for the trademarks on January 6, some days after going into cardiac arrest on the field during the Bills vs. Bengals game.
According to the records, he plans to use the phrases on various clothing items such as shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, hats, pants, shorts, and jackets. Moreover, he will have the phrases printed onto posters, mugs, and ornamental novelty pins.
After Hamlin woke up at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, the first words he allegedly said were “Did We Win,” at least according to the doctors. That’s when the phrase became a sensation.
The 24-year-old athlete moved with speed and has already created and released “Did We Win?” t-shirts to cash in on the sensation he created.

He tweeted on Sunday, January 8, that proceeds from the shirt will go to “first responders and the UC Trauma Center.” He added that the shirts were a way for him to give back to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
“We all won,” he posted. “I want to give back an ounce of the love y’all showed me. Proceeds from this shirt will go to first responders and the UC Trauma Center. Go get yours!”
Hamlin collapsed on the field during a Bills vs. Bengals game on January 2. He fell on his back just moments after getting up from an open field tackle on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin was administered CPR on the field, 10 seconds after his fall. He was then moved from the stadium to an ambulance.
He was released from a Cincinnati hospital and transferred to Buffalo General Medical Center where he was released after he showed significant progress. The athlete headed home only ten days after going into cardiac arrest.
Jamie Nadler, Hamlin’s care physician, released an update on his condition: “We have completed a series of tests and evaluations, and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the Bills.”
It was just yesterday, that Hamlin released a video on social media showing the remarkable progress he’s made thus far and him expressing his thanks to the people who saved his life after his fateful event. Watch below.
