*Many old heads still listen to “Party All The Time,” one of the R&B hits from the 80s. It is, of course, impossible to listen to the song and not think of comedian Eddie Murphy who sang it, and the late Rick James, who produced it. The two were close buddies for years.
Eddie’s older and now late brother Charlie Murphy revealed a lot about the two stars’ interactions in skits on Dave Chappelle’s old TV show.
But did you know that a snowstorm greatly inconvenienced Eddie Murphy while recording “Party All The Time”?
Murphy, who is currently promoting his new Netflix comedy film “You People,” recently appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and got to discuss how the hit song was recorded, including what he had to endure.
He explained that he traveled to Rick James’ house in Buffalo, NY to record the track, but then he had to stay there for two more weeks because of a terrible snowstorm.

“We were snowed in for two weeks,” the “Coming To America” actor explained. “We were supposed to go up for the weekend. I went up there to record ‘Party All The Time’ …maybe the most fun I ever had…one of my fondest memories.”
The host, Jimmy Kimmel, cracked a joke about Rick’s drug usage, but Eddie stated that Rick never used drugs when hanging out with him because he is not a user.
Eddie also got to discuss his friendship with Michael Jackson and Arsenio Hall. He also mentioned his upcoming documentary, and “Beverly Hills Cop 4.”
