*Tessica Brown, famously known as Gorilla Glue Girl, has proven that her hair maintenance skills are lacking in every way, so now she’s turning her attention to the kitchen.
Brown is a contestant on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America: Viral Sensations, which, per the official website, sees 12 culinary-challenged recruits entering boot camp for a chance to win a grand prize of $25,000. The contestants work under the supervision of celebrity chefs Darnell Ferguson and Anne Burrell.
“I want to learn how to cook because my grandma always said, ‘The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.’ I want to learn how to really cook so I can really get me — I want a ring,” Brown said on the show, MadameNoire reports.
Brown went viral after putting Gorilla Glue in her hair because she ran out of her usual styling products. The result was a disastrous hot mess. She ultimately had to fly out to Los Angeles to meet with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng who successfully removed the adhesive product from her hair via a lengthy (but pricey) procedure that he performed for free, TMZ reported.

Brown has survived the first two rounds on “Worst Cooks in America,” which premiered Jan. 1, but the judges were hardly impressed with her signature dish of shrimp linguine, fried cod, and glazed asparagus, New York Post reports.
“This is the only thing that I cook that people can hold down,” she admitted on the show.
“Worst Cooks is always a fun way to kick off the New Year – and taking these social media stars offline and into the kitchen is hilarious to watch,” Jane Latman, president of Home & Food Content and Streaming for Warner Bros. Discovery, said, MadameNoire reports. “Darnell is the perfect new mentor to join Anne in boot camp – this season delivers laughs, drama and even culinary inspiration.”
“Worst Cooks in America” airs Sundays at 8/7c on the Food Network.
