*A coalition of Los Angeles civil rights leaders is calling for community members to stop by to watch the video of the vicious beating of Tyre Nichols to death by 5 former Memphis Police officers Friday evening at 4pm Pacific.

The coalition says that watching it together as a community will allow for an easier way to heal. After the video is shown, community leaders and residents will be available for their reactions.

But first, the coalition will hold a press conference to speak on and preview the event. Scroll down for the who, what, when, and where of the event

Lora Dene King the daughter of Rodney King and CEO of the Rodney King Foundation sent a statement concerning Nichols and his death by 5 the now ex-Memphis Police Officers who are also charged with his murder.

“This is extremely sickening. We should not have to witness such things in this world over and over with different names behind the hashtags. Watching these types of videos has become very disturbing. It triggers past beatings often in comparison to my father’s brutal 1991 beating with the L.A.P.D.”
