*FOX News political analyst Gianno Caldwell is speaking out after being kicked out of a North Miami Wine Bar for talking about his political views as a conservative Black man.

Caldwell told Narcity that the situation was a “clear case of discrimination.”

The incident occurred at Paradis Books & Bread on Saturday, where Caldwell was having breakfast with his neighbors. He claims they discussing violent crime in America and his experience as a journalist at FOX. Apparently, the owner of the store was eavesdropping on their conversation and didn’t like what she heard. So she asked Caldwell to leave.

“One of the owners came over to the table and told us she had been listening to our conversation; we were not welcome there,” Caldwell explained on Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday morning.

According to Caldwell, when he asked the owner if she had been triggered by something he said, she allegedly replied, “No, our politics aren’t aligned. I’m one of the owners, I’m an owner here. I don’t feel comfortable. You have to leave.”

Caldwell shared his tale on Twitter with his 135,700-plus Twitter followers, writing, “I can’t believe what just happened. I met up with friends for breakfast at Paradis Books and Bread in North Miami & while we were having discussions about politics we were told by the owner that we were not welcomed there because we aren’t politically aligned. Outrageous.”

After his story went viral, Paradis Books & Bread went private on Instagram and password-protected its website. The eatery also announced that it is closing for its winter break earlier than originally planned.

“[T]hank you so much for the absolute waterfall of support and love y’all have been showing us in the last like 18 hours,” the announcement read. “[I]t’s brought us to tears multiple times, and we love you all so much.

“[A]s you already know, we are still being harassed online in the form of emails, comments, and negative reviews which aren’t fun. [H]owever, we’ve also received a couple of genuinely alarming messages online and calls to our personal phones that have ultimately made us decide to take our winter break a week early out of an abundance of caution for ourselves and our community, and to allow this news cycle to run its course. [W]e love yall and we love what we do, and we refuse to put any one of us or any one of y’all in harms way.

“[P]lease know that we feel incredibly supported and we can’t thank y’all enough. [W]e very much hope y’all can understand, and we can’t wait to reopen our doors for you next month.”

A Paradis representative told New Times that the store is closed “indefinitely.”
