Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s Dubai Performance Goes Viral: Leaked Videos Flood Social Media Despite Phone Ban

Despite a strict phone ban in place, fans were still able to capture videos of Beyoncé’s private concert at the opening of a luxury resort in Dubai, which was the first time Bey headlined a show in over four years. Surprise performer Blue Ivy joined her mother for a rendition of their Grammy hit “Brown Skin Girl.” See the leaked footage inside…

Ahead of the RENAISSANCE Tour this summer, Beyoncé hit the stage for her first performance in front of a live audience in four years. According to reports, the 25-time Grammy winner was paid $24 million for a private, hour-long performance for the grand opening of the Atlantis The Royal Hotel in Dubai, UAE. And sis made sure to deliver!

The event was by invitation only, where about 1,500 VIP guests, which included several celebrities, journalists, and influencers, were invited to an all-expenses paid luxury weekend in Dubai, according to an invitation received by Pitchfork.

For the ultra-exclusive event, guests were asked to put their recording devices up and revel in the moment. Due to the event’s strict no-filming policy, guests were given specially-made pouches to put their phones in, but it doesn’t appear to have worked.

Videos of Mrs. Carter’s private concert leaked on social media despite the ban on phones and recording devices.

For the exclusive event, Bey rocked a custom gold Dolce & Gabanna ensemble paired with Rene Caovilla shoes and a Marzook bag for her grand entrance, styled by KJ Moody and hair by stylist Neal Farinah.

For the show, Beyoncé performed a ballad heavy 19-song set, which included performances of her hits “Beautiful Liar,” “Flaws And All,” “Countdown,” “Halo,” “Spirit,” and “Drunk in Love,” to name a few. She opened with a cover of Etta James’s “At Last,” which seemingly symbolized her return to live performing.

Whew!

Guests were treated to a surprise collaborative performance that included Bey’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. Blue performed The Lion King’s Grammy winning track, “Brown Skin Girl” with her mother live for the very first time.

We can’t even! Go Blue!

The private performance was a stark contrast from Bey’s usual high-energy performances. The Dubai performance seemed to focus more on Bey’s vocals. And she delivered, per usual. Also, she didn’t perform any tracks from her 2022 RENAISSANCE album, which was likely intentional due to the UAE’s strict laws surrounding homosexuality.

A fan pointed out that Bey inadvertently included her songs that have “those traditionally Arabic scales” in them like “Beautiful Liar” and “Drunk In Love.”

We’re not surprised.

Furthermore, one of the audience members stated that Bey was recovering from foot surgery prior to her performance.

Cultural critic and author Gerrick Kennedy tweeted, “BEYLANTIS was quite the unexpected show. That voice is just gets better and better. Mama was doing her good singing. Mind-blowing to see her and Blue Ivy perform together. Even more in awe to hear she did this after foot surgery. It’s unclear what injury led Bey to the operating table, but it’s good to know she’s doing better.”

After the concert, Bey’s publicist sent out footage from her performance with a promise of “more to come.”

Maybe they’re hinting at RENAISSANCE visuals? Hopefully so!
