Evidence from Tory Lanez’s felony shooting trial has leaked after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. The jail call Tory made to Meg’s ex-best friend Kelsey Harris after the shooting, Kelsey’s September 2020 statement, the audio of the gunshots, bodycam footage of Meg in the ambulance, and the witness’ 911 call have been released. Get it all inside…
Last week, a jury in Los Angeles found Tory Lanez guilty of three felonies in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion on July 12, 2020, in the Hollywood Hills, which left her wounded with bullet fragments in her feet (that are still there).
After a 10-day trial, the jury of seven women and five men deliberated for one day before convicting Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson), 30, of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces up to 22 years in prison.
Now, evidence from the trial has leaked.
Tory Lanez’s jail phone call with Meg’s former friend and assistant, Kelsey Harris, has leaked online, allowing everyone to hear a key piece of evidence that helped the Toronto rapper’s conviction.
The call, which was made from Hollywood Jail the day after the shooting, allegedly surfaced online on Friday, December 30, via YouTuber Nique at Nite. As you know, Kelsey was with Tory and Meg the night of the shooting. She vividly recounted the incident to prosecutors in September but she recanted the majority of her story during her testimony.
Tory didn’t specifically mention a shooting or having a gun during the call, but he was clearly apologizing and seemed remorseful that Meg was hurt. He kept asking Kelsey if Meg was “good” and which hospital she was admitted to.
“I know she’s probably never ever gonna talk to me ever again but… bruh, I just want you to know, I was just so f*cking drunk, I don’t even know what the f*ck was going on, deadass. I’d never do some sh*t like that,” he said on the call.
“Regardless, that’s not gonna make anything right and that’s not gonna make my actions right, but I’m deeply sorry for that. I never even move like that at all. For real, for real, dawg,” he continued.
“It was a lot, it was a lot that happened,” Kelsey responded.
“A whole lot, bruh,” Tory said. “I feel crazy, but what happened happened already; I can’t take it back. I’m just telling y’all I’m sorry, bruh. I think we were just too drunk.”
Tory told Kelsey to get in contact with his security guard/driver, Jaquan Smith, to help get him out of jail. Kelsey obliged and then told Tory “the report is already out” before assuring him Meg’s team was on top of it.
At the end of their conversation, Tory said, “Alright. It is what it is. Regardless, if I get out of here today or not bro, I just want to let y’all know I’m sorry. I’d never did that sh*t if I wasn’t that drunk, you feel me?”

According to Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cuniff, the most important piece of evidence that led to Tory Lanez’s conviction was the audio. She also confirmed the audio that’s circulating is authentic.
”I can easily confirm that the audio floating around of Tory Lanez’s jail call to Kelsey, the gunshots, Kelsey’s interview with prosecutors etc are authentic,” Meghann tweeted. “Court can release exhibits after trials, and that’s what happened here. I don’t have my own copies yet but will soon.”
She continued, “I met YouTuber Nique at Nite in court and really admired her gumption. She has the audio on her channel, including this of Tory’s jail call to Kelsey. This is what I always saw as being pretty bad evidence for Tory that his lawyer didn’t address much.”
”I should add that I of course have not listened to every single recording that’s out there, so there could be edits and stuff taken out, but everything I’ve heard sounds authentic,” she continued tweeting. “I will post everything unedited with no commentary when I get it. Keep in mind when listening to Tory’s jail call to Kelsey that his lawyer’s explanation for it to the jurors who convicted Tory on all three counts is he’s not apologizing for firing the gun, he’s apologizing for causing the jealous fight between Kelsey and Megan Thee Stallion.”
Before Kelsey took the stand, she evoked her 5th Amendment right to self incrimination. When she sat down with prosecutors in September 2020, she vividly recounted the incident, but recanted the majority of her story during her testimony.
Now, footage from her original statement has surfaced (via StreetTV) where she talked about what they were doing at Kylie Jenner’s house that led up to the shooting. Take a listen below:
Kelsey told prosecutors how the argument between Meg and Tory started and how things escalated at a bus stop on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles. Listen below:
During her statement, Kelsey described what happened the moment she and Kelsey got out of Tory’s vehicle and how many shots were fired:

The gunshot audio from the night of the shooting was also released. The audio proved there wasn’t a struggle over the gun before it went off. The cadence of the audio eliminated the story that Tory’s attorneys put out that there was a struggle between Tory and Kelsey prior to the shots being fired and that Kelsey was the shooter.

Bodycam footage of Meg in the back of an ambulance was released. You can hear her crying as paramedics nurse the wounds in her feet. There’s bodycam footage from when officers first arrived on the scene following the shooting. And there’s also a witness’ 911 call following the shooting. The person speaking in the leaked audio is not Sean Kelly, who was the homeowner who took the stand during the trial.
