It’s that time of year when big artists make their way to colleges and universities across the nation to celebrate and participate in all the Homecoming festivities.

After having Homecoming events https://www.11alive.com/article/news/education/spelhouse-homecoming-2021… “>canceled over the last few years, Morehouse and Spelman Colleges finally were able to host Homecoming events to celebrate and welcome back alumni. The HBCU event – dubbed Spelhouse Homecoming – tapped Atlanta rapper 21 Savage to headline its Homecoming concert held at Forbes Arena. And lets just say, students ended up getting a surprise they totally were not expecting.

The “Bank Account” rapper brought out his homie/collaborator Drake! And when the OVO honcho hit the stage, the crowd went UP. The Young Money rapper performed several tracks, including “Knife Talk” and “Nonstop.”

“By the way, I didn’t get invited to this show,” Drake said to the crowd. “Nobody from Morehouse asked me to perform. My brother brought me here, so make some noise.”

21 Savage’s ex-Amber Rose is starring in the upcoming new season of BET+’s “College Hill: Celebrity Edition,” alongside Iman Shumpert, Joseline Hernandez, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Parker McKenna Posey, Kwaylon “Blame It On Kway” Rogers, O’Ryan Browner (Omarion’s brother) and, returning for a second season, Ray J. 

The show will follow the cast, who all live together, as they navigate life as students at the HBCU Alabama State University. The cast will step out of their star roles and into academia to complete a special certificate program with hopes of crossing the stage at graduation. The new season premieres in 2023.
