Two weeks ago, Tia Mowry dropped a bombshell announcement, revealing she was parting ways with her husband, Cory Hardrict, after 14 years of marriage and over two decades of being together. It felt like the uncoupling came out of nowhere as the couple often posted one another on social media, confessing their love for one another.
After the divorce news broke, both Tia and Cory have been pretty mum about it. Over the last few weeks, Tia has been posting social media videos about moving on into her new chapter of life and being at peace. While Cory hasn’t directly posted anything related to his divorce, he did hop in the comments to let folks know their divorce was NOT caused by infidelity.
Last night, Cory hopped on Instagram Live to promote a new episode of Season 2 of “All American: Homecoming.” It was his co-star Sylvester Powell’s birthday, so he hopped on Live so his fans could send him well wishes. Later, Cory chopped it up with his fans directly, thanking them for their support before giving his family and wife a shoutout.
”Continue to support the show,” he said. “I appreciate y’all. It’s love y’all. I love y’all, foreal. I love my beautiful family. I love my kids. Love my wife. I love all you guys.”

In the clip, she’s burning sage, hoping and praying that it’ll solve all of her problems. “We nama-stay positive #GoodVibesOnly,” she captioned the clip.
After confirming the divorce on social media, the “Sister, Sister” alum shared a post on her Instagram account, thanking everyone for the outpouring of love and support.
”Every book starts with a dedication page, and this one’s dedicated to you: my friends, family, and community,” she wrote. “The outpouring of love I received from you over the last week has been so encouraging and humbling. I’m so grateful to you all. New Book, First Chapter to follow. Love, Tia.”
The “All American: Homecoming” star hopped in her comments section, posting a red heart emoji and a star emoji. Tia responded, “I love you,” with a red heart emoji. Aww.
In the divorce filing, the chef mom cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason why they are calling it quits. In April 2008, Tia and Cory tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California. In 2011, the couple became parents for the first time, welcoming their son, Cree Taylor Hardrict, who is now 11, into the world. They became a family of four after they welcomed their second child, daughter Cairo Tiahna Hardrict, in 2018.
In the divorce documents, the “Sister, Sister” alum didn’t specify a date of separation from the “All American: Homecoming” star. However, she asked a judge for joint physical and legal custody of their two children. She’s also requested the judge terminate the court’s ability to give spousal support to either, noting the couple had a prenup.
Hope these two can work it out – however that ends up looking.
