Singer Brandy gives a health update after reports that said she was hospitalized.
The Grammy winning singer shared a post on Instagram Stories to let her fans, family and friends know that she’s “following doctors’ orders” and getting the rest she needs to recover.
Earlier today, TMZ reported “The Boy Is Mine” singer was hospitalized after possibly suffering a seizure. According to the site’s sources, police received an EMS call to Brandy’s home at noon yesterday (October 11th). Sources told the site it’s believed Brandy suffered a seizure, and she was rushed to a local hospital.
According to the singer, dehydration and low amounts of nutrition is what landed her in the hospital.
“To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way,” the 43-year-old mom-of-one wrote on social media. “I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”
It’s reported Brandy’s parents, Sonja & Willie Norwood, have been by her side and that she will likely make a full recovery.
In June, Brandy made a surprise appearance at the 2022 BET Awards, where she joined Jack Harlow on stage for a remix of his chart-topping hit “First Class.” In January, Brandy flexed her vocals at the NFL’s NFC Championship game with her rendition of the National Anthem.
