Rap Trio Travis Porter Claims Migos Broke Up Over A ‘B****,’ Fans Speculate If It’s Cardi B + Quavo & Takeoff Address Split From Offset

Rap trio Travis Porter is speaking out about the Migos breakup. Now, fans are speculating if Offset’s wife, Cardi B, had something to do with the breakup. Quavo and Takeoff (Unc & Phew) recently opened up about the breakup and said the breakup has nothing to do with business and everything to do with the “three brothers.” More inside…

Rumors about rap group Migos – rappers Quavo, OffsetTakeoff – breaking up have been circulating since earlier this year. The rumors first started in May when Offset and his wife, Cardi B, unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram.

Then, the group canceled their Governors Ball performance in June, which only added fuel to the breakup rumors leading many to believe the Atlanta rap trio were calling it quits for good.

Things came to a head in August when Offset filed a lawsuit against their record label, Quality Control, after he allegedly tried to renegotiate his solo contract to secure his rights. He accused the label of ignoring a deal they made back in January 2021. In the lawsuit, Offset claims he negotiated his solo deal and “paid handsomely” for his artist rights, but now claims QC isn’t holding up their end of the deal since he dropped his solo single, “54321.”

The guys have mostly remained mum about the breakup until recently. More on that in a few.

Rap trio Travis Porter – which is made up of step-brothers Ali & Quez, and their friend Strap – claim the Migos disbanded over a woman during a recent interview on We In Miami podcast.

”The Migos – they broke up. What y’all think about that Migos sh*t?,” the interviewer asked.

”It was over a B****!,” Ali responded.

”What girl was it over? Cardi?,” the interviewer asked.

”I don’t know,” Strap responded, adding, “N***a’s get killed about a b****, n***a’s break up over p*ssy.”

There has been a lot of speculation about what caused the Migos to disband. Travis Porter’s speculation comes on the heels of Quavo and Takeoff addressing the split during a sit-down interview with the Big Facts podcast. While the guys didn’t specify exactly why they decided to disband, they did drop a few tidbits about what caused the split.

Quavo said, ”I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo. Because we came from a loyal family. We supposed to stick together. Sometimes when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”

“We don’t know all the answers,” Takeoff added. “God know. We pray a lot. We tell [God] whatever ain’t right, however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it. We pray, so only time will tell. We’re always family, ain’t nothing gone change.”

Quavo and Takeoff – who formed their own duo “Unc & Phew” – said their issues have nothing to do with business and that they have to work something out between them. If you didn’t know, Quavo and Offset are cousins and Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle.

”We just stand on loyalty. We stand on real deal loyalty. This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, no nothing. This something to do with three brothers. It is what it is. Right now, we gone be the duo ’til time tell.”

Based on their responses, it doesn’t sound like the Migos are done forever. We shall see…
