Closure You Didn’t Know You Needed: Black Girls On Kiddie Perm/Relaxer Boxes Reveal Themselves & It’s EVERYTHING!

Remember the adorable little black girls who graced the cover of kiddie perm/relaxer boxes from back in the day? Well, they’re all grown up! And they’re natural and fabulous! Get into it…

Black Twitter has been feeling all the nostalgic feels after one user posted a “Where Are They Now”-esque tweet about the young, black girls who covered popular kiddie perms/relaxers from the 90s and early 2000s.

Remember Destiny’s Child singer LaTavia Roberson was on the cover and in the “Just For Me” commercial? Check it out below:

Twitter user @prettiestluxury posted a collage of perm box covers from brands, like PCJ & ORS, tweeting she used to wish to be the face of a popular perm/relaxer. @AshTheDonLeon reposted the tweet, and asked the young models to reveal themselves.

“Where are these girls today? Show yourselves,” she tweeted.

Moments later, photos from a few of the models popped up in the Twitter thread, showing how they look now. And listen, this was closure we had no idea we needed! The young models are all grown up – natural and FABULOUS!

And here’s more:

Atlanta rapper Baby Tate was always “that girl!” She modeled for a perm box as a kid too:

Counselor/Consultant Michelle Elliott DeShields saw our IG post and added her daughter to the mix, who was on the “Just For Me” perm box in elementary school. Now, she’s in high school!

Gorge.

Seeing that most of the perm box girls are now natural, Twitter had plenty to say about that:

One user tweeted, “I LOVE that our childhoods and teenage years are coming together like this. This is really Black girl history having all the perm box girls reveal themselves AND ALL OF THEM HAVE NATURAL HAIR LMAO”

Like the Twitter user above said, THIS is Black Girl History and it’s the best thing we’ve seen all year.

XSCAPE singer/“RHOA” star Kandi Burruss joined the fun, posting an old cover of herself on a hair color box:
