The Weeknd, who was wrapping up a two-night run at SoFi Stadium, was forced to end his sold-out concert due to vocal issues. The Grammy winner abruptly stopped singing in the middle of a song and exited the stage quickly. He soon returned to announce the show was over after just three selections.
“I don’t know what just happened, but I just lost my voice,” he told the crowd after returning to the stage. Watch the moment he lost his voice below:

The singer told his fans, roughly 70,000 people in the stadium, that he was unable to give them the show he wanted to give them. He apologized and assured everyone that they would get their money back.
“This is killing me, I don’t want to stop the show but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now. I’m gonna make sure everybody’s good. You’ll get your money back. I’ll do a show real soon for you guys, but I wanted to come out and personally apologize.”
“You know how much this kills me, I’m sorry. I love you thank you so much,” he said before exiting the stage.
The Canadian singer also took to social media to make the announcement.
”My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated,” he said. “Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date,” he wrote.

The concert was being filmed for a scene on the HBO Max show “The Idol,” which stars Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye alongside Lily-Rose Depp.
Shoutout to The Weeknd for at least coming back out on stage to let his fans know what was going on.
On Friday, it’s alleged NBA baller Tristan Thompson ran into Kendall Jenner (Khloe Kardashian’s sister) at The Weeknd’s concert. An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight they walked past one another, but never acknowledged each other. Hmph.
Get well soon, The Weeknd!
