MIGOS DRAMA! Offset Sues Quality Control For Interfering With Solo Career + Offset, Quavo & Takeoff Release Dueling Singles

There’s drama in the Quality Control camp! Offset filed a lawsuit against his record label for interfering with his solo career as he and his former Migos bandmates – Quavo & Takeoff – release dueling singles today. Here’s what’s going on…

Are the Migos over? That’s what Hip Hop heads want to know.

It’s been a summer of surprises when it comes to Atlanta rap group Migos. Back in May, Quavo and Takeoff announced their duo “Unc & Phew,” leading fans to speculate there was drama brewing. Adding fuel to the fire, Offset unfollowed his bandmates as Quavo and Takeoff released their new singles “Hotel Lobby” and “Us vs. Them,” ft. Gucci Mane.

The breakup rumors have been swirling heavy, however, the Migos continue to dodge confirming what was really going on.

Last week, Offset released his solo single “54321” before getting into a public spat with Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas over his contract.

According to TMZ, Offset filed a lawsuit against Quality Control after he allegedly tried to renegotiate his solo contract to secure his rights. He accused the label ignoring a deal they made back in January 2021. In the lawsuit, Offset claims negotiated his solo deal and “paid handsomely” for his artist rights, but now claims QC isn’t holding up their end of the deal now that he dropped his new solo single, “54321,” produced by Baby Keem.

QC honcho Pierre “P” Thomas took to social media to react to the drama, tweeting (and then deleting), “The last lawsuit was filed publicly and dismissed quietly. Let’s see how this one go. Been to real for all this lame sh*t. Everyone know the real problem.”

Offset responded, “N****s act like I’m the problem. I paid millions to get my rights back. N**** you blackballed me. I ain’t said sh*t one time home. I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years. Now, I drop and you want ya name on my credit?”

Cardi B hopped on Instagram to react to the legal drama and to defend her husband.

”Offset bought himself out his QC deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she wrote. “I’m tired of people trying to make Offset look like the bad guy…ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

TMZ spoke with a QC rep who confirmed Offset is still part of the label and that the accusations in the lawsuit are “false” and “totally detached from reality.”

Today, “Unc & Phew” and Offset release dueling new singles. Offset’s new single is titled “Code” and it features Moneybagg Yo.

”Unc & Phew” dropped “Big Stunna” featuring Birdman:

Quavo and Takeoff are also featured on DJ Khaled’s 13th studio album, God Did, which also features Lil Wayne, SZA, Future, Lil Baby, Gunna, 21 Savage, and more.

Is this the end of Migos as we know them?
