The 2022 BET Awards – hosted by Taraji P. Henson – brought out the industry’s biggest stars to celebrate Black excellence in music, acting, sports and entertainment. We noticed this year’s carpet went dark – tons of sexy dark colors, feathers and cutouts.

Of course the hottest songstress out right now would make a grand entrance.

Styled by Jennifer Udechukwu, singer/actress Chloe Bailey wore a black sequin Nicolas Jebran gown accessorized with Colette Jewelry and Le Silla heels. On the carpet, she teased she had a surprise for her fans when she hit the stage.

Also styling in black, singer/actress Halle Bailey – Chloe’s sister – served up subtle sexy in a black cutout Mônot gown.  She also hit the carpet with her rapper boyfriend DDG:

These two make us swoon.

Shine queen! “Empire” alum Taraji P. Henson slipped into a sparkly Tom Ford dress to host the BET Awards for the 2nd sonsecutive year.

Singer/Nominee Summer Walker – who recently confirmed she’s pregnant with baby #2 – made sure to have all eyes on her when she hit the carpet. The 26-year-old singer and her bump posed it up in an eye-popping look.

Do we love it?!

We’re loving “Kingdom Business” star Serayah’s fresh, new look. The recent birthday girl introduced Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music’s performance alongside her co-star Tamar Braxton

*tear* She’s growing up! “black-ish” star Marsai Martin has plenty to celebrate. She won the YoungStars Award and she turns 18 in 50 days! Ha! She served up big LEO energy onstage.

Before hitting the stage to perform, “POSE” star Billy Porter hit the red carpet in this Rick Owens original. We can’t say it’s our fave.

Well, look who it is! “Empire” alum Jussie Smollett is slowly making his return to the limelight following his hate crime drama. He has been spotted at several events recently.

These two! From breakups to makeups, it’s likely safe to say Ray J & Princess Love aren’t breaking up…ever.

By the way, he’s starring on the BET+ new series “College Hill: Celebrity Edition,” which also stars NeNe Leakes, Lamar Odom, Big Freedia, Stacey Dash, DreamDoll, India Love and Slim Thug. It’s set to premiere this summer.

Speaking of NeNe, the former “RHOA” diva was all smiles on the carpet alongside her controversial BAE Nyonisela Sioh, who is allegedly married to another woman.

As for other couples on the carpet…

Presenter Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba served up Black Love on the carpet. Come through Couple Goals!

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin and his wife Tammy flexed some interesting looks on the carpet before Kirk and Lil Baby won the Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for their collaboration on “We Win,” a track off the soundtrack for Space Jam: A New Legacy.

R&B crooner/presenter Ne-Yo got kissy with his wife Crystal Smith on the carpet. Y’all know they love flexing their love.

We know. You can’t tell either. This is Blac Chyna making her way down the carpet. During the show, folks were confused on whether this was raptress Latto or Chyna. Ha!

By the way, she recently settled her revenge porn lawsuit she filed against her daughter’s father, Rob Kardashian.

The hair. The gown. The skin. We loved everything about singer/presenter Janelle Monae’s Roberto Cavalli look.

Singer/Performer Giveon hit the carpet solo before his shaky performance as he had to deal with audio issues.

BODY-ODY-ODY! “P-Valley” star Brandee Evans looked amazing in a gold mini dress on the carpet.
