Oh, House music is about to takeover the summer. Because Beyoncé just dropped (a little early) her first track off her upcoming Act 1 Renaissance album…and it’s Bounce-House BOP! Get into it inside.
King Bey brings in some New Orleans bounce mixed with a sexy ballroom house beat like only she can for her brand new single, “Break My Soul”.
The track is co-produced by the “Single Ladies” team of Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, with the voice of Bounce queen Big Freedia (who also appeared on “Formation”) riding the beat (that reminds of of Robin S‘ “Show Me Love”) throughout the song alongside Bey’s.
“BEY IS BACK AND I’M SLEEPING REAL GOOD AT NIGHT”
And um, YES. We needed this!
The people said they want to dance again, and the July 2022 VOGUE cover girl said ‘Hold my wine.” She’s got us covered. Listen & watch the lyric video below:
Seems like House is about to be the go-to for the post-Covid summer re-emergence vibes since we’re definitely back outside. We’re ready for this video though, because y’all know Big Freedia is DEF going to make an appearance (like she should have in Drake‘s “Nice For What” vid).
It feels surreal to be on the track with the Queen Beyonce once again I’m so honored to be apart of this special moment I’m forever grateful lord someone please catch me #beyonce #bigfreedia #BreakMySoul pic.twitter.com/AL8jn5lX6J

Fun fact: Beyoncé hinted at not only her new music being dance-focused, but that Renaissance could be the title cack during her 2021 Harper’s Bazaar cover story:
“AND WE BACK OUTSIDE YOU SAID YOU OUTSIDE BUT YOU AIN’T THAT OUTSIDE WORLDWIDE HOODIE WITH THE MASK OUTSIDE IN CASE YOU FORGOT HOW WE ACT OUTSIDE”
Song of the summer already? We gotta say, it’s DEF a contender.
Excuse us while we go get our sexy twerk together for festival season and every cookout where this will be played.
