Canadian Rapper Not Klyde has been on a roll lately. The 25 year old artist is heavily known for his very unique flows, punchlines, and cadences. Klyde has released 4 albums as of now and his most recent album “Mastery Seven” has gained major attention in a very short time. The 9 song album has one feature from artist Zay Ade on a record titled, “Gun Sounds” which is a reference to using your bible as a weapon. This song alone has accumulated over 300k streams since release and the album overall has done well over 2 Million Streams. Not Klyde is fully independent and has managed to tour multiple times and perform in front of crowds of over 1,000 people.

“Mastery Seven” is an album that really flexes Klyde’s creativity. Stand out records such as “Flock”, “Relax, Not Klyde”, and “Thot Thoughts” are all perfectly executed records that embody who Klyde is as an artist. We asked Klyde where his inspiration comes from and he said, “My inspiration is definitely the Holy Spirit, but sonically I take cues and inspo from secular artists like Trippie Redd, 070 Shake, and Ariana Grande surprisingly.” Not Klyde has been on a mission lately and his musical inspiration shows his versatile taste in music. With so much ahead of him at such a young age, Not Klyde is on his way to heights rarely reached in Christian Hip-Hop. He is definitely an artist to watch this year.
