White supremacist group marches through Philadelphia

A white supremacist group marched through the City of Philadelphia Saturday evening.

(Philadelphia, PA) — Police say none of the protesters were from Philadelphia.

What We Know:

  • WPVI news arrived on scene as the group “Patriot Front” marched through the area. The supremacists are based in Texas and traveled into the city.  The group traveled down the Ben Franklin Parkway, across Market, Chestnut and Walnut Streets before marching to Penn’s Landing.
  • Hundreds of masked protesters from Patriot Front chanted, while carrying shields and American flags, which are often a symbol linked to white supremacy and a threat to minorities. White terrorists touted the American Flag alongside the confederate and Trump flags during the insurrection on the United States capitol on January 6th.
  • At Penn’s Landing, several onlookers began yelling at the protesters and banging on trucks as the group loaded into the vehicles and drove off.
  • Instagram user kingafloe captured some of the footage live

Police say some of the angry onlookers ‘scared off’ the white supremacists and no property was destroyed last night during this incident.  At press time, Urban Newsroom has been unable to corroborate this claim.

Be safe, vigilant and alert, family.
