  • The pilot will be directed by Maggie Kiley and is being produced by Berlanti Productions and Vita Vera Films. The show, now officially being called ‘Powerpuff,’ will feature Faison playing a character by the name of Professor Drake Utonium. Professor Utonium is being described in the show as quirky, debonair, and a bit narcissistic. The series will portray him going through a midlife crisis as he is determined to repair the relationships he has with his super-powered adult daughters.
  • Utonium created his daughters in a science experiment, and they’ve spent their entire childhoods fighting crime. The story will follow the girl’s journey in adulthood and how they resent wasting their childhood fighting crime instead of being normal children. The show intends to portray the impact of how missing out on childhood has affected Utonium’s daughters. The girls will be played by Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault.
  • Bennet will star as Blossom, Cameron as Bubbles, and Perrault as Buttercup, respectively. Bennet has previously worked on projects such as Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Abominable, and 5 years apart. Dove Cameron is known for her roles in Descendents 2, Barely Lethal, and The Angry Birds 2. For Yana Perrault, ‘Powerpuff’ will mark her first appearance on any television show. ‘Powerpuff’ has been in development since last year, and the actresses were only just announced earlier last month.

As of late, there currently isn’t a scheduled released date for the show.
