Buckingham Palace released a statement a few days after the Oprah Winfrey interview with Meghan Markel and Prince Harry.

- On Monday, Meghan Markel and Prince Harry had an in-depth interview with Oprah Winfrey explaining the truth behind being apart of the British royal family. Allegations emerged about Meghan getting bullied and the royal family being racist towards baby Archie because of his race. In a previous interview, Meghan explained how she lost her voice.
- The statement that Buckingham Palace has released on the Queen’s behalf on Tuesday stated, “the whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.”

- Buckingham Palace was said to be in a crisis meeting following the interview. Reuters reported that three senior royals held meetings with their private secretaries and communications chiefs to decide how they will respond to the interview.
- According to Insider, more than 17 million people watched Markle and Harry’s two-hour interview with Winfrey when it aired in the US on CBS on Sunday. When it aired in the UK on ITV on Monday night, 11.3 million people watched it.
The allegations made by Meghan and Harry are proving that everything is not perfect while being apart of the Royal family.
