The historic storm has left families in the dark for days, battling freezing temperatures as the Electric Reliability Council of Texas works to restore power to at least 668,332 affected customers.
- According to Variety, Megan stated, “I am so happy that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the NACC, and I aligned on the goal of repairing the homes of the elderly and uninsured single moms. They are the most vulnerable and often displaced by these kinds of devastating events.

- She continued by giving her fans, known as the “Hotties,” a chance to participate and take action by signing up to volunteer through her website. The proceeds from Merchandise sold on her website will be going towards NACC’s rebuilding efforts. The organization will help the people who have the most damages, such as removing water-logged materials and residents without water due to low water pressure, making the pipe burst.
- The native Texan hip-hip star also joined forces with another artist from Houston, Travis Scott, and his organization Cactus Jack Foundation. The Cactus Jack foundation has also assisted the hard-hit state by teaming up with Houston Health Foundation to launch an emergency food program providing hot meals to residents in need.
Megan continues to do her part for her community by raising funds to aid the reconstruction of many homes for senior citizens and single mothers at no cost to them.
