Offset Sued by Car Rental Company Over Bentley That Was Allegedly Never Returned

A luxury car rental service in Los Angeles is suing Offset over the unexplained disappearance of one of their cars.

What We Know:

  • Court documents obtained by TMZ show that the Migos rapper is being sued by Platinum Transportation Group claims to have drawn up a contract with Offset last May. The contract agreed that Offset would pay nearly $600 per day to rent the company’s new 2020 Bentley Bentayga.
  • The document explains that the rental was only supposed to last a few days. However, Offset kept requesting extensions to the rental period. PTG and Offset allegedly then came up with an agreement to have him continue to rent the car until July.
  • As the end of the rental period approached, Offset informed the rental company that he had no idea where the car was and couldn’t remember who last had it. The rapper continued to make payments until the rental expiration on the 25th, but never returned the car or continued making payments after that date.
  • PTG claims to have filed a police report to find the missing vehicle, but evidence of the report has yet to be released. The L.A. rental company is now suing Offset for damages, arguing that the absence of the Bentley Bentayga has resulted in more than $100,000 in missed revenue. The car itself reportedly retails at approximately $170K.
  • Coincidentally, Offset’s wife, Cardi B released a new song called “Up” where she talks about hopping out of a Bentley Bentayga. This comes after Cardi gifted her husband with a brand new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ for his 29th birthday back in December. The car is valued at more than half a million dollars.

Offset, along with the rest of the Migos, are currently anticipating the release of their album Culture III, which is supposedly going to drop “at the top of [this] year”. They recently released a teaser video for the album which gives fans an inside look at the behind-the-scenes of their newest project.
