Woman Clings to Hood of Speeding Car to Stop Theft of $10,000 Puppy

A store employee clung to a speeding vehicle after a couple stole a puppy from the store.

What We Know:

  • A Texas couple stole a $10,000 puppy and attempted to drive away, advised a KRPC report. Their attempt was thwarted by BullyKAMP store employee Alize James. The store specializes in bulldogs, including exotic breeds.
  • As James left to grab paperwork, the couple ran to their car. James chased after the couple as they got in their car and hit her. She then clung to the car as the couple sped off.
  • After about ten minutes of driving, the couple pulled over. The man hit James, and despite fighting back, they eventually got away with the dog. James commented that the couple was recklessly driving, adding, “I could barely hold on,” and “I was so scared.”
  • James commented that she was most worried about the pup’s health since the dog needed medication after surgery. “My mind is focused on her health, I obviously didn’t care about my wellbeing,” James said.
  • The woman was identified as 21-year-old Royshana King. She has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.  Authorities have not identified the man and the whereabouts of the puppy are unknown.

James exclaimed that she does not regret the chase but would not do so again.
