Drake is Selling a Scented Candle that Smells Like…Drake

Four-time Grammy-winning rapper, Drake, has just released a candle that he claims smells like himself.

What We Know:

  • Drake released his luxury scented candle products as part of his Better World Fragrance House collection, on the online retailer, Revolve. One candle’s scent, “Carby Musk,” is said to actually smell like Drake, according to promotional literature. This specific scent “features notes of Musk, Ambers, Cashmere, Suede, and Velvet. Actually smells like Drake — it’s the personal fragrance he wears.”
  • The soy-blend based candles range in pricing from $48 to $80. The collection includes five different scented candles, all which sold out upon launching access to the products on revolve.com. The other fragrances in his “ultra-luxe” collection are called Sweeter Tings, Williamsburg Sleepover, Good Thoughts, and Muskoka.
  • The description on the website reads that the candles emit a “smooth musk fragrance, [which] is introspective as in an interpretation of your beautiful self, yet extrovertive as how you would want others to see your bold and brilliant self”. The candle also includes a marker to personalize the jar.
  • The rapper, even suggests that customers “[play] the album that inspired this entire project the first time you light one: Midnite – Live In Eugene.” Drake first dropped hints about his candle collection back in June, via an Instagram story. He also gifted several candles from his line to players of the Toronto Raptors.
  • Drake is not the only celebrity making candles to show the world what they smell like, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kacey Musgraves and Kim Kardashian West all had their own lines as well, according to People Magazine. Elle even reported that Paltrow previously released candles such as “This Smells Like My Vagina” and “This Smells Like My Orgasm”.

Drake, who seems to have been developing several business projects, even announced the launch of the fully licensed cannabis producer, More Life Growth Company, in his hometown of Toronto in 2019.
