Travell Anthony Hill has been charged in the cold case March 2016 murder of reality star Robbie Montgomery’s grandson, 21-year-old co-star Andre Montgomery Jr, who was killed in St. Louis near Fairground Park.
What We Know:
- Travell Anthony Hill has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Federal prosecutors have a recording between him and his brother, where Hill is said to be laughing and bragging about being paid $5,000 in connection with Andre’s murder.
- James “Tim” Norman, Andre Jr’s uncle who was also on the show, is Hill’s co-defendant. He was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, on August 11 of this year. He is currently in jail without bond due to being a flight risk. He is facing several conspiracy charges, including conspiracy to commit murder surrounding Andre Jr’s death and is currently in Missouri awaiting trial.
- Shortly before the shooting, Norman took out $450,000 in life insurance policies on Andre Jr. Norman had claimed himself as the sole beneficiary of several policies in Andre Jr’s name. The policies were never paid out because the proof requested by the insurance company was not provided.
- Terica Ellis, an exotic-dancer from Memphis, is also facing the same charges for using a burner cellphone to tip off her co-defendants Norman and Hill as to the victim’s location shortly before the shooting took place.
- Waiel Rebhi “Wally” Yaghnam, the insurance agent who wrote the policies, faces additional wire fraud charges, mail fraud, and five identity theft counts.
- Ms. Robbie finally released her first statement three weeks ago on Instagram. She captioned a picture of her making a heart with her hands, as she appeared to be seated in one of her restaurants. The caption stated, “I truly appreciate all the love, prayers, cards, calls, and messages of support my family and I have received from you all. May God bless you all.”
- Ms. Robbie is the owner of Sweetie Pie’s restaurant. Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s is an OWN network original reality TV show about the soul food franchise, its owner, her family, and their employees. The show filmed cast members’ day-to-day lives for five seasons.
- All four co-defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges they are facing. A meeting between the federal prosecutors and the defense attorneys for several of the co-defendants will occur on December 2.
