Megan Thee Stallion is dropping a new EP, GOOD NEWS, on November 20. She is currently signed to RocNation management company and 1501 Certified Entertainment LLC under exclusive license to 300 Entertainment. Her new album is highly anticipated.
What We Know:
- Born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete on February 15, 1995, Megan Thee Stallion has quickly become an American heartthrob. She is a multi-talented artist, songwriter, and performer from Houston, Texas, and she started to become known for her viral videos in 2013. During that time, she also became popular on Instagram.
- From 2017 to now, she has released four EPs, including Make It Hot, Tina Snow, Fever, and SUGA.
- “WAP,” a song by Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion, has been on the Billboard Top 100 chart for 13 weeks.
- Megan Thee Stallion is a prime example of hard work and dedication paying off. Her backstory is a message of hope, tenacity, and facing hard life situations head-on and coming out victorious. Last year, she lost both her mother and grandmother in a short span of time. Holly Thomas, her mom, was also her manager, and she passed from a cancerous brain tumor in March 2019.
- She made headlines this summer after attending a pool party with Kylie Jenner. After leaving the party, she was allegedly shot in both feet by rapper Tory Lanez. Tory Lanez has denied the allegations and is awaiting trial. Megan Thee Stallion attests that she has no reason to lie. On the night in question, four people were in the vehicle when Megan Thee Stallion was shot: herself, her former best friend, Kelsey Nicole, Tory Lanez, and his bodyguard.
- Megan graces the cover of GQ’s December/January issue, where she goes into detail about the shooting and how she felt the need to be strong through her vulnerabilities as a Black woman. “I want Black women to be louder. I want us to be sassier. I want us to demand more, be more outspoken, keep speaking and keep demanding what you deserve,” she says.
GOOD NEWS will release next Friday, November 20th. The album has seventeen songs. It features her three hit singles, “Savage Remix,” featuring Beyonce, “Girls in the Hood,” and “Don’t Stop,” featuring Young Thug.
