Victor Oladipo Reportedly Asked Other Teams “Can I Come Play With Y’all”

The Indiana Pacers will have to make a decision about their All-Star guard Victor Oladipo as he’s made it clear he wants to move on from the team.

What We Know:

  • Reports of trade rumors and trade requests have been on the rise as NBA transactions will be allowed in just a few days. NBA insiders have reported on potential moves for Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook, and now we can fire up the trade machine for Victor Oladipo.
  • According to J. Michael of the Indy Star, Oladipo reportedly asked opposing teams “Can I come play with y’all?” during games, in front of his own teammates.
  • Oladipo allegedly did this with the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, and the New York Knicks. League sources told J. Michael that his teammates were not pleased that he did this in front of their own faces and it heightened tensions in the locker room.
  • This report adds to the already growing speculation that Oladipo wants out of Indiana. Oladipo is eligible for an extension this year and the Pacers have reportedly been looking to trade him while he still has one year left on his deal.
  • Oladipo’s sister Victoria called the report a lie and his teammate Myles Turner chimed in:

Oladipo has been with the Pacers since 2017 and earned an All-Star selection his first year in Indiana. He suffered a ruptured quad tendon during the 2018-2019 season and has struggled since returning.
