The Weeknd To Headline Super Bowl Halftime Show

Grammy-winning artist The Weeknd will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show.

What We Know:

  • Super Bowl Sunday will be February 7 in Tampa, Flordia at Raymond James Stadium. There’s no official word from the NFL yet on the status of in-person fans, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently allow fans up to 25% capacity at their stadium.
  • Roc Nation and producer Jesse Collins will be co-executive producers of the Pepsi Halftime Show. This is the second year of the NFL-Pepsi-Roc Nation collaboration. The game will air on CBS.
  • The Weeknd is one of the most popular artists in American music and is already the most-streamed R&B artist of all time. His hit song “Blinding Lights” went certified-platinum five times and became Billboard’s longest-running No. 1 song on its radio chart.
  • The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was named one of the most influential people of 2020 by Time Magazine. He joins the distinguished list of musicians to perform at the Super Bowl, including Beyonce, Prince, Michael Jackson, and many others.
