Principal Shonn Brown of Charlotte Christian School wanted his high school seniors to feel special. He made and delivered yard signs for each student.
What We Know:
- Students woke up to generously made signs of their senior class, courtesy of the Charlotte Christian School principal, over the past weekend.
- Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Brown wanted to let all his seniors know he’s still thinking about them. Like many schools around the country, the virus cancelled several traditional senior events such as prom and/or graduation ceremonies.
- Brown and some other kind school administrators woke up very early to go place signs at all 98 of the seniors’ homes, as a reminder of their passion.
- Shonn Brown joined the Charlotte Christian School faculty in 1999 and moved into the role of upper school principal in 2017. As the upper school principal, Mr. Brown serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the upper school. He is also responsible for providing leadership for all academic, spiritual, and operational programs, and activities in the upper school.
Aside from Brown’s administrative positions, he has also been coaching at Charlotte Christian School for 19 years. His record at Charlotte Christian is 413-166. He has had the opportunity to coach some great players in his career and is thankful for the opportunity to impact young men through the game of basketball. One of those great players was Stephen Curry, and the rest was history.
