Tiffany Haddish and her ‘boyfriend’ Common joined a Black Lives Matter Pride Month protest in Los Angeles.
What We Know:
- The comedian and rapper joined tens of thousands of people Sunday in L.A. for the All Black Lives Matter march, which started in front of Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre and ended in West Hollywood.
- The comedienne has been denying rumors the two are together, despite a recent virtual date.
- Haddish wore a white T-shirt and black pants along with a purple face mask. The comedian also snapped pics with protesters holding up signs.
- The socially conscious date came two days after Haddish made an emotional speech at another rally, talking about the fear she’s felt when getting pulled over, and worrying that family members might not make it home if they have run-ins with police.

- Haddish posed for photos alongside rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who came to the event rocking rainbow hair and a teal mask, per citywide COVID-19 prevention policy.

- As part of the event, demonstrators and organizers painted a massive mural on Hollywood Blvd, near the Hollywood and Highland intersection, which read “All Black Lives Matter” in a rainbow of colors.
- According to the All Black Lives Matter website, the protest “is in direct response to racial injustice, systemic racism, and all forms of oppression”. Another rally was also held on Sunday in Brooklyn, New York, when tens of thousands showed up for the Black Trans Lives Matter demonstration.
Sunday’s march in support of the Black trans community was especially relevant considering President Donald Trump’s recent decision to reverse health protections for transgender people and also continued the demand for an end to anti-Black racism and police brutality, which was reignited this past weekend following the June 12 killing of Rayshard Brooks who was shot by police outside of a Wendy’s in Atlanta.
