Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Daughter Simone Signs with WWE

The WWE Network announced Monday that the daughter of icon Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Simone Johnson, has signed with WWE and has begun training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

What We Know:

  • The 18-year-old, who recently graduated from University School in Davie, is hoping to become the first fourth-generation WWE wrestler, joining the legacy of her father, recently deceased grandfather and great-grandfather.
  • She responded to the news on an Instagram with the caption, “To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said ‘this will be my life one day’, this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work. Let’s do this.”

  • Simone Johnson still has plenty of training to do at the WWE Performance Center before she makes her debut in the ring. Her program includes learning from veteran coaches, and of course, plenty of support from her superstar father. WWE released a video showing Johnson practicing in the ring and from the looks of it, she’s onto a promising start.
  • “Dreams ain’t just for dreamers,” The Rock captioned an Instagram post of him and his daughter. “Congrats to my #1 born, Simone Johnson on officially signing her wrestling contract with @wwe @wwenxt and on her way to becoming the first ever 4th generation WWE athlete.”

WWE executive VP Paul “Triple H” Levesque, said in a statement, “Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Center, but she’ll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE’s first fourth-generation Superstar.”
