A well known basketball court in Metro Manila, Philippines is covered with artwork to honor the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna who passed in a helicopter crash.
What We Know :
- Many artists as well as residents painted the mural for Kobe and Gianna in 24 hours.
- The tenement housing complex holds a famous basketball court that was once covered with the face of sports’ legends like Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Manny Pacquiao.
- Eddie Barbuena, who owns the tenements basketball teams, said: “This is our tribute to them. We will always love you Kobe Bryant”.
- Fans have been visiting the mural to pay their respects, write messages, and take pictures. The mural’s color is black with the words Kobe and Gianna painted in white.
- Mike Swift, who is a Filipino native Hip-hop artist, was one of the main conductors of the mural. Swift took to Instagram to write: “We will continue to mourn the loss, but more important is that we make sure the legacy of Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant lives in our hearts forever.”
