Michelle Obama and more encourage 16-year-old activist Greta Thunberg after President Trump undercuts her on Twitter.
What We Know:
- President Trump took a jab at the teenager on Twitter saying, “So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” He was responding to Thunberg being named Time’s 2019 Person of the Year.

- In response to the dig, Thunberg changed her Twitter bio to “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.” She didn’t seem too bothered.
- Michelle Obama came to the teenager’s defense, tweeting her words of encouragement. The former First Lady wrote, “@GretaThunberg, don’t let anyone dim your light. Like the girls I’ve met in Vietnam and all over the world, you have so much to offer us all. Ignore the doubters and know that millions of people are cheering you on.”

Glad Mrs. Obama stepped in to defend the teenager from the President’s tasteless remarks.
