Queen and Slim’s Emmy winning writer, Lena Waithe dropped the trailer for a new BET series titled Twenties.

What We Know:

  • The first official trailer for Lena Waithe’s Twenties was dropped on December 3, 2019. The eight-episode long comedy series will follow Hattie, played by Jonica “JoJo” T. Gibbs, a young black queer woman as she navigates through her twenties.
  • Out of cash and desperate for a break, Hattie interviews with Ida B., a successful Black television writer/producer who offers Hattie a job as a writer’s PA. It seems as though Hattie may finally be on her way to finding the success she has been searching for.
