At 6:30 a.m. a Porsche went airborne crashing into an unoccupied building housing multiple businesses.
What We Know:
- Skid marks were found across multiple lanes of traffic leading up to the building, according to NJ.com. Firefighters came to pull the vehicle out of the building but not before close to two dozen people gathered to see.
- 22-year-old Braden DeMartin and 23-year-old Daniel Foley were the identified victims of the crash. DeMartin was driving the Porsche and Foley was the passenger. They are going so fast that they lost control on Hooper Avenue, crossed a roadway and hit an embankment which led to the vehicle going airborne into the building.
- Unfortunately, both passed away shortly after the incident at the scene.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer has advised that his office will not be taking the lead on the investigation.
