New York native/rapper Flavor Flav has fathered a 2-month-old baby at the age of 60.
What We Know:
- Earlier this month, rapper Flavor Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, Jr., was the subject of a paternity allegation. A woman named Kate Gammell, who previously worked as a manager for Flav, claimed that he was the father of her 2-month-old baby boy.
- The Blast acquired documents proving that the former Public Enemy hypeman is the father. Flav is already a father of seven kids so, this new addition will make him a father of eight! He is also the grandfather of two by his oldest daughter, Shaniq.
- Although Flav hasn’t released an album since his 2006 LP Flavor Flav, he has somehow found a way to stay in the spotlight. From 2006-2008, he started the trend of finding love on a competitive reality show as the star of VH1‘s Flavor of Love. He also appeared on season three of VH1‘s Surreal Life and ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap.
- Recently, Flav has made the headlines due to legal issues. In March, XXL reported that he owed $3 million in back taxes after failure to pay taxes owed from 2005-2015. In 2017, it was reported that he sued his former group member Chuck D for royalty payments, claiming he hadn’t received a royalty check any of Public Enemy’s ventures in years. Talk about a struggle, right?
