Judge Judy has, for the most part, stayed away from politics but now has come out to endorse someone…Michael Bloomberg.
What We Know:
- Currently, Bloomberg is not running for office. He served from January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2013 as mayor of New York City. He appointed city commissioners based on their expertise and gave them the freedom to do what they saw as best. He also implemented a “bullpen” open plan office which was unorthodox. The setup had dozens of aides and managerial staff seated together in a large chamber.
- In an op-ed she wrote for USA Today, Judy advised that “…times have changed in our country, and I believe the moment has come for me to step out from behind the curtain. I want to speak honestly and from the heart — regardless of the consequences”.
- Judy believes Bloomberg would be a “no-nonsense president”. She also talked about the divisions in the country and how he could save it. “The only way we can begin to come together again, I said, is if Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, becomes our next president.”
- She finished by stating that she is worried about the radicals inside the Democratic party which could divide Americans even more and lead to a second Trump term.
In March 2019, Bloomberg wrote how he won’t run for president and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.
