The sexual assault case against St. Louis rapper Nelly has finally reached an agreement to settle out of court with his accuser.
What We Know:
- The “Hot in Here” rapper known as Nelly has reached a settlement in the accusation of sexually abusing a woman at a concert in the UK back in 2017.
- The woman advised that “he masturbated in front of her and then and had her perform oral sex on him. The British woman filed a lawsuit against Nelly, but also stated that his longtime girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, took to social media to defame her”.
- The rapper declined any wrongdoing and was released from custody without charges. In a statement Nelly said, “I’ve been quiet for some time. But these baseless allegations hurt more than just me. The truth will come out, and I will be vindicated. These types of false allegations undermine real claims of sexual abuse/harassment that wasn’t done by me”.
- The accuser declined to work with police, authorities, and prosecutors with the investigation and decided not to file charges against the rapper.
Nelly previously settled a similar lawsuit in September 2018 filed by another lady that said that he raped her while he was on tour in Seattle.
