2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nominations Include Acts from Whitney Houston to Notorius B.I.G.

The legendary Whitney Houston and Notorious B.I.G. are just a few of the names that have been added to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.

What We Know:

  • On Tuesday, October 15, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced it’s inductees into the 2020 class. The list goes as Pat Benatar, the Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Judas Priest, Kraftwerk, MC5, Motorhead, Nine Inch Nails, Notorious B.I.G., Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Todd Rundgren, Soundgarden, T. Rex, and Thin Lizzy.
  • Of course, you have the die-hard music fans who may feel that there are other artists worthy of recognition. But according to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, an individual artist or group is only eligible for a nomination if their first commercial recording dates back to twenty-five years prior to the nomination.
  • From now until January 10, 2020, the public will be able to continue to vote on an artist or band’s nomination. Music fans can choose to go to Google, search “Vote Rock Hall 2020” or any nominee’s name plus “vote” to cast a vote. Fans are also allowed to vote online at rockhall.com or at the Museum in Cleveland.
  • The top five artists that are picked by the public will make up a “fans ballot” which will be added on to the votes from the current 2020 nominees. Presented by Klipsch Audio, the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place in Cleveland, Ohio at the Public Auditorium on May 2, 2020.

Is there anybody you feel should be added to this list? If so, cast your vote, first and then come back and leave us a comment!
