Aron Eisenberg, known for the role of Nog in “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” passed away September 21 at just 50-years-old.

- Eisenberg’s wife confirmed the beloved actor’s death in a Facebook post over the weekend. Eisenberg is remembered as a father, filmmaker and actor who played an unforgettable role in the Stark Trek franchise. His wife, Malissa Longo, described him as an “intelligent, humble, funny, emphatic soul.” She also shared some insight into their early love life and marriage.
- Although Eisenberg is no longer with us, his role as an actor will forever be valued. He was featured in 40 episodes of Star Trek as Nog. Aside from Star Trek, Eisenberg was featured in various series including, “The Horror Show,” “Tales from the Crypt,” “Playroom” and “Beverly Hills Brats,” among others.
- Star Trek reported that Eisenberg had previously faced some health issues in 2015 when he underwent a kidney transplant after a friend named Beth Bernstein kindly volunteered to donate her kidney. He spent just four months on the waiting list prior to finding a kidney donor. Eisenberg’s cause of death is currently unknown.
